Taking Better Landscapes
This course is designed for people who have had some photographic experience but wish to learn more about Landscape Photography. Either compact or SLR cameras may be used, but the latter is recommended. The course is divided between lessons in the classroom and practical photographic tasks in the surrounding Derbyshire countryside.
The aim is to teach you how to handle the camera, and how to take better images by applying the rules of photography.
The course includes; Individual tuition by your guide on photographic topics.
Guided walks to the best locations in the area.
Comprehensive course notes provided for each student.
Transportation during the day.
Refreshments and lunch during the course.
Course Contents Photographic Techniques: Composition, zoning, rule of thirds, Use of Tripod, common errors, framing, positioning the subject, perspective, selective focusing, scale, filters, using the light. Lenses, Metering for landscapes
Practice: Set tasks involving all the above as confirmation.
